Privacy Policy
Plain English, no filler. This explains what we collect, why, and how to make us delete it.
Who we are
WeAreBBV is a social media content and publishing service based in New York, working remotely with businesses across the United States. For anything in this document, write to cristian@wearebbv.com.
What we collect
Only what we need to contact you and do the work:
- What you type into the form: your name, business name, email, phone number, Instagram handle and city.
- Material you send us to work with: photos, videos and notes about your business.
- Basic usage data: which pages you viewed, how far you scrolled, which buttons you clicked, your approximate location by country or region, and your device and browser type.
What we never collect
We never see, receive or store your card number, expiry date or security code. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe on their own systems, and nothing about your card ever reaches us.
Your account logins
Once you are a client, we hold the login for the social accounts we publish to. Being direct about this matters more than sounding clever: it is a password you are trusting us with. It is requested only after you hire us, it is never shared outside the people doing your work, it is used only to schedule and publish content you have approved, and it is deleted when we stop working together. Changing your password revokes our access instantly and without needing to tell us — and we will ask you to do exactly that on your last day with us.
Why we collect it
To contact you about your enquiry, to deliver and manage the service, to run the monthly subscription, to comply with tax and accounting obligations, and to measure which of our ads actually work so we do not waste money showing them to the wrong people.
Who we share it with
A short and specific list. We do not sell your data, we do not rent it, and we do not hand it to data brokers.
- Stripe — to process the subscription payment.
- Google (Analytics and Ads) — anonymised usage and conversion measurement.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — conversion measurement, only if we are running ads there. Any personal details sent are hashed first, meaning they are converted into an irreversible code before they leave our server.
- Meta Business Suite — where we publish your content, using the partner access you grant from your own account.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies to remember your language choice and to measure traffic and ad performance. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site keeps working without them, it just forgets which language you picked. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, Google provides a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details are kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up. Client records are kept while you are a client and for 7 years after, because tax law requires it. Anything you send us that we do not need, we delete. Ask us to delete your data and we will do it within 30 days, minus whatever the law requires us to retain.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. One email to cristian@wearebbv.com is enough — no forms, no fee. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you these rights explicitly, including the right not to be discriminated against for using them.
Your content and our portfolio
You own everything we produce for you. We would like to show published pieces in our own portfolio and ads as examples of our work — but only if you agree. Tell us no, at any time and without giving a reason, and we take it down. We never publish anything you have not already published yourself.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS, client records are stored where they cannot be reached from the web, and access is limited to the people doing the work. No system is perfect, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something — but if a breach ever affected your data we would tell you directly and quickly.
Children
This is a service for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change it in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and let current clients know by email. We will not quietly broaden what we do with your data.
Terms of Service
What you get, what we need from you, and how the money works. Read the refund and cancellation parts especially — they are the ones people ask about later.
What the service includes
For $799 per month:
- An initial brand strategy call of up to one hour, once, before work begins.
- A minimum of 15 published pieces per month, posted every other day.
- A mix of reels, designed graphics and enhanced product or service photos.
- Captions written in English, Spanish or both.
- Photo enhancement from the material you shoot on your phone.
- Your approval of every piece before it publishes, by WhatsApp or in the web planner.
- Daily stories, optional and included, when you send us day-to-day material.
- Setup and ongoing management of your paid ad campaigns. The ad budget itself is paid by you directly to Meta and is not included.
- A monthly performance report, delivered by WhatsApp, email or the planner.
Meetings
There is exactly one required meeting: the initial strategy call, up to an hour, before we start. After that the service runs with no scheduled meetings — material, approvals, questions and reports all move over WhatsApp, email or the web planner. You can request an additional call at any time and we will schedule it, but none is required.
Paid advertising
We recommend a minimum of $200 per month in ad spend and we set up and manage those campaigns as part of the $799. The budget is not included in that price: you pay it directly to Meta with your own payment method, you keep full visibility of it, and you can pause or change it whenever you want. We never hold, invoice or take a cut of your ad spend. This is a recommendation — the service works without it, and declining it changes nothing else about what you receive.
What you provide
Material to work with — roughly ten minutes a week of photos or clips — and your approvals. If you send nothing in a given week we will work with what we already have, and publishing continues. If you send nothing at all for a full month, we will still publish the 15 pieces from existing material, but the results will be worse and we will tell you so.
Approval before publishing
Nothing goes live without your yes. If you reject a piece, tell us why and we will redo it at no extra cost. If you do not respond to an approval request within 72 hours, we may publish it to keep your calendar consistent — unless you have asked us in writing never to do that, in which case we simply wait.
Photo enhancement — where we draw the line
We correct lighting, backgrounds, framing, colour balance and sharpness. We do not alter the product itself: not its size, portion, ingredients, materials, condition, quality or quantity. We will not add anything to an image that is not really there. If you ask us to misrepresent a product, we will decline, and repeated requests are grounds for us to end the agreement.
Price and billing
The service is $799 per month in U.S. dollars, charged automatically by Stripe on the same date each month until you cancel. There is no setup fee, no contract and no minimum term. If we ever change the price, existing clients keep their current rate for as long as their subscription runs uninterrupted.
Cancellation
You can cancel any month, from the link in your Stripe receipt or by telling us. It takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — we do not cut you off mid-month. There is no penalty and no exit call.
Pausing
If you have a slow season or you are closing temporarily, tell us before your renewal date and we will pause the billing instead of ending it, so you keep your place on the roster.
Refunds
Once we have produced and published the pieces for a given month, that month is not refundable — the work exists and is live. If you cancel before we have published anything in a new billing period, tell us straight away and we will refund that period in full. Disputing a charge for work already delivered is not a refund route; talk to us first and we will almost always sort it out faster.
Access to your accounts
Scheduling and publishing requires the login credentials for the accounts we manage. We request them only after you have hired the service, never as part of a sales conversation, and they are used solely to schedule and publish content you have already approved. We do not change your password, your recovery email or your account settings; we do not read or reply to your direct messages; and we do not use your accounts for anything unrelated to your own content. Changing your password revokes our access immediately, at any time and without notice to us. We ask that you do so on the day our work together ends.
Ownership of the work
Every file we produce for you is yours to keep and use however you like, permanently, including after you cancel. We ask only for permission to show published pieces as examples of our work, and you can refuse or withdraw that at any time.
What is not included
To be clear about the boundaries of this plan:
- Replying to comments and direct messages — those are your customers, and the answers should come from you.
- The ad budget itself. Managing the campaigns is included; funding them is not — that goes from your card straight to Meta.
- Website or app development.
- On-site photography or event coverage, which we quote separately.
- Printed materials, packaging or physical design.
No guarantee of results
We guarantee what we control: the volume, the quality and the consistency of what gets published. We cannot and do not guarantee sales, followers, reach or engagement, because those depend on your product, your pricing, your service and on platform algorithms nobody outside those companies controls. Anyone who promises you a number is guessing.
Availability
We take a maximum of five clients at a time, so the work stays good. If the roster is full when you apply, we will tell you honestly and offer you the waiting list rather than take your money and stretch ourselves thin.
Ending the agreement from our side
We may end the service, with a full refund of any unworked period, if we are asked to misrepresent a product, if the material sent to us is illegal or infringes someone else's rights, or if communication breaks down to the point where the work cannot be done properly.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
